According to a report from the Daily Mail, Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph wants to rejoin West Ham this month.
90Min claimed last month that the Hammers want to re-sign the veteran 42-capped Republic of Ireland international.
West Ham sold the 32-year-old to Boro in January 2017 for a fee believed to be worth £5 million (BBC). He has really impressed during his time on Teesside.
And selling him now looks like a big mistake from the Hammers.
Their slide down the Premier League table coincided with Lukasz Fabianski missing three months of the season through injury.
Roberto and David Martin filled in for the Pole, but they have both proven that they are inadequate deputies.
It seems as though West Ham are trying to rectify that by bringing Randolph back to the London Stadium.
And the Daily Mail claims that the 32-year-old has his heart set on a return to east london.
This claim has also been backed up by reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee:
If West Ham are successful bringing Randolph back to the club, it would be very good business for them.
He is still a top class goalkeeper, and would provide excellent competition for Fabianski.
Re-signing him seems like an absolute no brainer for the Hammers, especially as he is reportedly so keen to return to the London Stadium.
