The Hammers and Spurs are believed to be in the market for a new centre-forward.

David Moyes needs to provide more competition for Sebastien Haller at the London Stadium, with Albian Ajeti proving that he is just not good enough for Premier League football.

Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, desperately needs a sufficient back-up for Harry Kane.

And the Express claims that both West Ham and Tottenham are looking at Chelsea hitman Giroud this summer as a potential option to solve their attacking deficiencies.

The Express suggest that Frank Lampard could be willing to allow the 33-year-old Frenchman to leave Stamford Bridge for just £7 million at the end of the season.

Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech, and are close to securing deals for Timo Werner and Kai Havertz (Express). So Giroud could very well be surplus to requirements in west London.

And the World Cup winner could be a very useful addition for either West Ham or Tottenham.

Stats

The 33-year-old, who earns £110k-a-week according to Spotrac, actually possesses a very decent goalscoring record, with 203 goals in 507 career club games to his name.

He has also scored 39 goals in 97 games for France.

This season, he has scored two goals in nine Premier League games (Who Scored).

Giroud is one of the most dominant strikers in the air in world football. There are very few who compare to the Frenchman aerially.

For just £7 million, Giroud could be a real steal.

It just remains to be seen whether West Ham or Tottenham win the race for the £110k-a-week ace’s signature at the end of the season.
