According to a report from Claret and Hugh, Manuel Pellegrini sees no future for Sead Haksabanovic at West Ham, and he is prepared to loan out the midfielder once again next season or sell him.
The 20-year-old joined the Hammers from Halmstads BK in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth £2.7 million according to the Evening Standard.
The 7-capped Montenegro international made just two senior appearances for West Ham, however.
He was loaned out to Malaga for the 2018/19 campaign, and he struggled in Spain too.
Haksabanovic then joined Norrkoping on loan in January of this year. And he has been on fire in Sweden.
The 20-year-old has racked up eight goals and eight assists in 34 appearances, and his fine displays have led to calls for him to be recalled by Pellegrini.
Apparently that will not be the case, however.
Claret and Hugh claims that Pellegrini sees no future for the midfielder at West Ham. The Chilean is allegedly prepared to loan him out again or even sell him if a reasonable offer comes in for his services.
If true, this will be a real blow for the young midfielder.
Haksabanovic has really impressed on loan with Norrkoping. And he would surely have thought that his fine displays would have caught Pellegrini’s attention.
Unfortunately for him, however, he seems to have made little or no impact on the Chilean’s future plans.
