The Hammers find themselves in real trouble at the moment.
They are currently sitting in 17th spot in the Premier League table, ahead of 18th placed Bournemouth and 19th placed Aston Villa purely because of a superior goal difference.
West Ham were awful against Wolves at the London Stadium last weekend. And despite a decent first-half display against Tottenham, they still weren’t at the level they needed to be.
Things are looking bleak for the Hammers.
No desire to set up to win games
Moyes has received heavy criticism since Premier League action resumed for his reluctance to play a centre-forward. And rightly so.
Michail Antonio has started through the middle in both games so far.
And Football.London claims that the reason for that is that Moyes doesn’t trust either Albian Ajeti or Xande Silva to perform during what is a relegation battle.
And that could prove to be a decision that costs West Ham their Premier League status.
The Hammers have been totally toothless in attack recently. And the fact that Moyes hasn’t brought either of the two players on off the bench when they were behind in the games against Wolves and Spurs is absolutely baffling.
Let’s hope the Scot comes to his senses before it’s too late.
Most West Ham fans won’t be holding out any hope, however.
