Declan Rice allegedly expects to leave West Ham United in the summer of 2023, with Chelsea very keen to sign him.

That’s according to a report from 90 Min who claim that Chelsea have made it their principal remit to try and lure Rice to Stamford Bridge next summer.

And Rice himself expects to leave the London Stadium, according to 90 Min.

The 23-year-old has firmly established himself as a key player for both West Ham and England over the past couple of years.

He is someone who is adored by the Hammers and England fans. His peers are big fans of him as well, notably Jude Bellingham.

Rice, who earns £62k-a-week according to Salary Sport, is priceless to West Ham.

David Moyes has to do everything that he can to keep Dec at the London Stadium. That may well be taken out of his hands though, if Chelsea go big for Rice next summer…

Chelsea make signing Declan Rice their number one priority

According to a report from 90 Min, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has made it his main priority to bring Rice to Stamford Bridge next summer.

West Ham will demand at least £120 million for the 23-year-old (90 Min).

That’s an awful lot of money to be spending on a defensive midfielder, but Boehly has already proven that he’s ready to spend big.

And if he and Graham Potter believe that Rice is the missing link for them, it would be no surprise to see a monster offer come in for the England international at the end of this season.

He’s best friends with Chelsea star Mason Mount as well.

Rice has matured into one of the very best defensive midfielders in world football, if not the best.

The sky’s the limit for the 23-year-old and keeping him at the London Stadium will be one of the most important tasks at hand for David Moyes over the course of the next 12 months or so.

Dec is close to being a world-class player and it could actually agued that he already is.

There aren’t many better in the game at breaking up play and his array of passing, energy levels and athleticism are up there with the very best in the game.

Should we lose Declan Rice to Chelsea, we absolutely have to ensure that we get plenty of money and maybe one or two of their players as well.

Hopefully Dec stays at the London Stadium, but unless we can somehow qualify for the top four and/or win a cup this season, we may well have our work cut out.
