Football.London claims that West Ham have no interest in moving Jack Wilshere on in the summer, contrary to recent reports.

Football Insider suggested yesterday that the Hammers owners may consider buying the 28-year-old out of his current contract with the club.

The former England international joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.

Wilshere has made just 16 appearances for West Ham, racking up only one goal and one assist (Transfermarkt).

Injuries continue to hinder his progress at the London Stadium. And with his contract with West Ham set to expire in the summer of 2021, many fans and pundits have suggested that his time in east London could soon be coming to an end.

Football.London suggests that there have been no talks regarding Wilshere’s future at the club, however, and as things stand, he remains very much a part of David Moyes’s plans.

If the Hammers’ medical team can get the 28-year-old back to somewhere near his best physically, he could still have some kind of impact for the club over the next 18 months or so.

But considering recent history, that will be highly unlikely. And that is a real shame. Wilshere has so much talent and promise as a youngster, But his body hasn’t allowed him to fulfil his undeniable potential.
