The Hammers could be set to face competition from Sevilla, however. The La Liga outfit’s Director of Football Monchi is allegedly keen to land the 24-capped Chile international.

David Moyes will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Mark Noble is well passed his best and Carlos Sanchez is set to leave at the end of the season.

Even if West Ham manage to sign Tomas Soucek on a permanent deal, Moyes will surely be looking to make further midfield reinforcements.

And Estadio Deportivo claims that Fiorentina star Erick Pulgar could be an option for them.

The Spanish publication claims that the 26-year-old defensive midfielder could be available for just €12 million (£10.5 million) this summer.

Stats

Pulgar has racked up four goals and five assists in 29 games for Fiorentina this season (Transfermarkt).

In 25 Serie A outings for the Italian outfit, the 24-capped Chile international has averaged 2.4 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.4 clearances per game (Who Scored).

During those appearances, Pulgar has averaged 40.4 passes per game with a hugely impressive completion rate of 86.6% (Who Scored).

£10.5 million for the South American would represent excellent value for West Ham. He would certainly add more tenacity and quality to the Hammers’ engine room.

And David Moyes will secure himself a real coup if he ends up bring Pulgar to the London Stadium this summer.
