West Ham want to sign Getafe ace Djene Dakonam this summer according to a report from the Daily Mail.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to add a top quality centre-back to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
West Ham have allegedly been chasing Burnley ace James Tarkowski. But that seems destined to end in failure, with the Clarets holding out for £40 million for the 27-year-old (Daily Mail).
There is clearly better value to be had out there.
The Daily Mail reckon that the Hammers could move on from Tarkowski and make a £10 million bid for Getafe defender Djene Dakonam.
Stats
The 28-year-old made 34 La Liga appearances for Getafe last season. In those outings, he averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and 3.1 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.5 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
Djene, a 49-capped Togo international, stands at just under 6ft 2in tall. He is strong in the air and very mobile.
The 28-year-old’s distribution isn’t the best, however. He made 29.8 passes per game on average last season with a fairly poor completion rate of just 69.4% (Who Scored).
We need proper defenders though, not ball-playing ones. We are not a team who plays out from the back anyway.
And signing Djene for £10 million would be very good business for West Ham. It would also leave more cash to spend on the much-needed additions of a left-back and right-back.
