West Ham United fans believe they have a radical plan to turn their faltering season around.

And they are calling on Manuel Pellegrini to implement it after a run of no wins in five games.

The Hammers have lost their way of late and Pellegrini’s tactics and team selection has come under fire, probably for the first time in his tenure.

West Ham were being widely tipped for a top six spot after a promising start to the season. Some even backed West Ham to push for a Champions League place.

Another false dawn?

West Ham’s form and results have dipped, though, and fans are fearing another false dawn.

With only a quarter of the season gone, there is plenty of time to turn things around.

A win over Newcastle on Saturday could push West Ham back into the top six.

And many supporters believe they have a new plan that will turn things around.
Social media and fans forums have been awash with the popular suggestion to move Felipe Anderson to a central role as a second striker behind the increasingly isolated Sebastien Haller.

Radical plan to turn things around

They then want to see left-back Arthur Masuaku back in the team in the attacking role down the left-hand side vacated by the Brazilian.
That means a place on the bench for Manuel Lanzini, who has been in terrible form so far this season.
Some supporters have also suggested Pablo Fornals is played in the second striker role, which is the Spaniard’s natural and best position. Indeed it is there that he proved a huge hit for Spain’s Under 21s as they lifted the Euro 19 title in the summer.
The line-up would certainly inject more pace into the West Ham team.

Pace is the key

The Hammers have become very predictable and have registered a Premier League-lowest solitary goal from outside the box this season.
Whether Pellegrini will be brave enough to change his approach remains to be seen.
But anything less than a win over the struggling Magpies at the London Stadium and the Chilean will come under increasing pressure.
