All the talk yesterday was about Amazon’s big debut on the Premier League football scene and tonight it’s West Ham’s turn.
Amazon kicked off its first ever football coverage by showing Burnley vs Manchester City and Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Tonight West Ham are one of six games to be shown on the company’s Prime service.
West Ham go to Wolves off the back of a huge morale-boosting victory over Chelsea last time out.
Have West Ham turned a corner?
It was West Ham’s first win in nine games in all competitions and eased the pressure on manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Wolves will present the Hammers with a stern test of whether they have indeed turned a corner.
West Ham fans not attending the match will be able to watch the game via Amazon instead.
And now the presenters and pundits for each individual fixture has been announced.
Key faces for West Ham’s Amazon debut revealed
Presenter Matt Smith will lead the show for Wolves vs West Ham and will be well known to fans thanks to his work on ITV and BT Sport.
Scottish commentator Derek Rae will be joined by former England women football star Sue Smith. West Ham fans will recognise Smith from her work covering games in the studio for Sky Sports.
Reporter Charlotte Bates will be charged with grilling Pellegrini and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo before and after the match.
And the pundits will be Clinton Morrison and former West Ham captain Matt Upson.
Reaction mixed to delivery giant’s first football foray
Reaction to Amazon’s first night in the football realm on Tuesday was mixed.
Many reported issues with lag, buffering and streams not working at all in some cases.
And that was with the delivery giant broadcasting just two Premier League games as opposed to SIX tonight.
West Ham fans won’t care if the picture lags just so long as their team doesn’t on the pitch.
