Declan Rice had a day he will never forget as he helped West Ham to a victory over Arsenal.

Just days before his 20th birthday, Rice scored the only goal of the game to give West Ham a narrow win at The London Stadium.

Shortly before half-time, Rice missed a glorious opportunity to put West Ham ahead as he nodded wide from inside the box.

But the 19-year-old did not let it affect him as he put the Hammers into the lead just after the break.

Felipe Anderson broke to the by-line and after his cross was semi-cleared, Samir Nasri picked up the loose ball.

The Frenchman took a touch and rolled the ball into the path of Rice, who slammed it into the top corner from inside the box.

It meant so much to Rice, who was bombarded by his celebrating team-mates. In his post-match interview, Rice had a massive grin on his face.

Post-match celebration

After the game, Rice celebrated in the pub with a bunch of West Ham fans, who are loving their new hero.

The Republic of Ireland international posted a video of the celebrations on his personal Instagram account and West Ham fans cannot get enough.

Below are tweets showing what Hammers fans are saying about Rice’s joint celebrations ahead of his 20th birthday on Monday and after his match-winning goal.
