Manuel Pellegrini looks set to make two very contrasting changes to his West Ham United team to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Hammers entertain Roy Hodgson’s Eagles in fine league form.

West Ham are unbeaten in six in the league since losing to Manchester City on the opening day.

Palace go into the game off the back of a win over Norwich and are just one point behind West Ham in the standings.

With Leicester away to Liverpool and Arsenal not playing until Sunday, a win for the Hammers over Palace could put them back up to third on 15 points from the first eight games.

Two big and very contrasting changes

West Ham’s Chilean boss Pellegrini looks set to make two big – and very contrasting – changes to his side for the live Saturday night game.
Supporters are nervous about the prospect of seeing unfancied goalkeeper Roberto come into the side in place of the injured Lukasz Fabianski.
Roberto has failed to impress in his appearances for the club so far both in pre-season and in the cup where he shipped four against Oxford at the end of last month.

Unfancied Roberto a huge worry for Hammers

David Martin is also waiting in the wings but it appears that Roberto is very much West Ham’s number two.

With Fabianski out for at least two months, possibly three, Hammers fans will be hoping Roberto can prove everyone wrong.
The other change to the starting line-up is a much more positive one, though.

Lanzini back from the start

After returning from injury in the second half at Bournemouth, key playmaker Manuel Lanzini is back from the start.
The Argentine will replace Pablo Fornals who is still trying to adapt to the frantic pace of English football.
And that will come as a huge boost for West Ham and striker Sebastien Haller in particular as the forward looks to profit from Lanzini’s creativity.
Predicted West Ham XI to face Crystal Palace:
Roberto, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Rice, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Anderson, Haller.
