Moyes and West Ham in the mire

Meanwhile Frank Lampard’s Chelsea need the points as the battle intensifies for the Champions League places.

West Ham West Ham have lost three Premier League games in a row, two since the restart.

And the pressure is mounting on David Moyes with some West Ham fans calling for him to be replaced to save the club’s season.

West Ham have somehow been kept out of the bottom three with results going their way elsewhere.

But the Hammers need to start taking control of their own destiny starting against Chelsea.

West Ham have the experience of beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier this season to call on.

Insiders claim West Ham will be without Haller again

And West Ham have only lost two of their last six Premier League encounters with the Blues.

West Ham have been hampered since the restart by injuries to key players Angelo Ogbonna, Robert Snodgrass and Sebastien Haller.

Arthur Masuaku has also been sidelined through injury.

Snodgrass is expected to miss most of what remains of the season.

And according to insiders Claret & Hugh both Haller and Masuaku have not been included in tonight’s squad to face Chelsea.

Ogbonna returns in Moyes’s only change

But Ogbonna will return and is expected to start against the Blues in Moyes’s only change to the side which started against Tottenham last time out.

West Ham will undoubtedly look to try and grind out a draw, hitting Chelsea on the counter attack with Michail Antonio’s pace and power.

It is a tactic that has not borne any fruit since the restart.

But Moyes will be hoping the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals can have a bigger impact and get closer to Antonio when West Ham are attacking.

Predicted West Ham starting XI for Chelsea:

Fabianski, Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Soucek, Bowen, Fornals, Antonio.
