According to a report from FC Inter News, alleged West Ham target Nikola Maksimovic is demanding just £45,000 a week with rumours rife that the Serie A giants will sell the 28-year-old during the January transfer window.

The Hammers made a bid for the 28-year-old centre-back five days before the summer transfer window slammed shut, according to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio.
At the time, the Daily Mail claimed that Maksimovic was valued at around £14 million. But the 25-capped Serbia international’s contract is set to expire next summer.
So Napoli may well be keen to move him on in January.
That’s what FC Inter News claim anyway. And it is suggested that the 28-year-old will demand just £45k-a-week from any club that wants to acquire his services.
That seems like great value. Especially if West Ham manage to pick Maksimovic up for a bargain fee in January.
Stats
Maksimovic made 23 Serie A appearances for Napoli last season, racking up one goal and one assist in the process (Who Scored).
In those appearances, he averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 2.7 clearances per game. He also won an average of 1.8 aerial duals per match during that period (Who Scored).
Maksimovic is an experienced defender, a great man marker and whilst he isn’t the quickest, he reads the game incredibly well.
The Serbian would be a very smart addition for us in January.
Whether the West Ham board will see it that way, however, remains to be seen.
