West Ham midfielder Samir Nasri was due to come on at half-time in yesterday’s loss at Chelsea but was injured in the warm-up.
Nasri was put through his paces at half-time and looked set to be introduced for the second half. But Manuel Pellegrini’s plan was scuppered after the Frenchman picked up an injury while warming up.
It was the latest injury setback for Nasri, who is proving to be quite injury-prone since his move to West Ham.

WAYNE ROONEY TO EVERTON IS A JOKE.
The 31-year-old joined the Irons in early January after proving his fitness to Pellegrini while training with the club. West Ham gave Nasri a short-term deal until the end of the season.
But he has only managed six appearances since then. Granted he looks good when he plays and he has two assists to his name. However, his injury record is concerning.
The ex-Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder missed the loss against Everton with a calf injury and returned to the bench at Stamford Bridge.
But his warm-up injury ensured he was not introduced. Here are some tweets from West Ham fans discussing Nasri’s future and whether to extend his deal.
No way. We need to get away from injury prone old men on high wages.
If you want to consistently compete in this league you need a young, fit, quick and hungry squad of players…. we lack in all those areas.— Kris Johnson (@kjohno10) April 9, 2019
Yes but pay & play only . It’s the only deal in town for him .

No too old and too injury prone.

Give him a chance, Carroll’s been as useful as a cheesegrated canoe

I’m starting to wonder about Nasri. Could be another of those wonderful players that we just don’t see on the pitch 🙁

yes, one more year of him for 50-70k pw isn’t really awful. we can afford it and if he’s fit for 20+ games next season he’s a good depth option to have https://t.co/A6ZQgSXVAa

There is a reason why no one else wanted him. Just like all the other players we have took a chance on.

Nasri unfortunately is injury prone just like so many in our squad, I just hope we try and sign quicker quality players, we have so many that lack pace,
