Grady Diangana could return to West Ham in January because of Manuel Lanzini’s injury.
Lanzini suffered a fractured collarbone during the 3-0 loss to Burnley, ruling him out until January at the earliest. According to Claret & Hugh, this could mean that Diangana is recalled.
Manuel Pellegrini ruled out Diangana coming back in January just last week. However, the Hammers slipped closer to relegation with the Burnley loss and Lanzini’s injury rubbed salt into the wounds.
Is Diangana the answer?
Pellegrini knows that his midfield is lacking creativity. While the current squad struggles, Diangana has been in sublime form for West Bromwich Albion in the Championship.
Under the leadership of Slaven Bilic, Diangana has played a starring role, helping West Brom to the top of the league and earning himself an England U21 call-up. The 21-year-old is a much-improved player since leaving West Ham on loan in January.
