Aguerd will undoubtedly prove to be a tremendous addition to David Moyes’s ranks next season and beyond.

The Hammers will certainly be a lot stronger defensively.

And the Morocco international is clearly looking forward to playing with his new teammate as well…

Nayef Aguerd raves about West Ham teammate Kurt Zouma

The Hammers now have one of the strongest central defensive partnerships in the Premier League, on paper at least.

Aguerd is one of the best around with his aerial strength, ability on the ball and blistering pace.

Kurt Zouma is very good as well and should flourish when he returns to the right-sided centre-back role.

West Ham’s new signing Aguerd spoke to WHUFC.com and praised the Frenchman to the hilt:

“Kurt Zouma, I played against him when he was at Chelsea, in the Champions League. He’s a strong guy and he can jump high.”

Let’s hope that the two centre-back gel together immediately.

West Ham could have a great season if Nayef Aguerd and Kurt Zouma play to the best of their abilities.

These are exciting times to be a Hammers fan. Aguerd’s arrival has to be supplemented by another five or six top-class signings though, if we are to challenge for honours on all fronts next season.

And the early signs are that David Moyes is on track to do exactly that.
