Nathan Holland is banging down Manuel Pellegrini’s door after another star showing for West Ham United’s Under 23s.
The fleet-footed attacker scored a superb brace in a 4-0 win over Stoke City on Monday night.
It comes after another poor display by the first team in defeat to Everton last time out.
Very few in West Ham shirts emerged from Goodison Park with any credit.

Pellegrini forced to explain Fornals struggles
But there was more criticism for Pablo Fornals, who endured another difficult afternoon.
It has not clicked for Fornals since his £24million arrival from Villareal in the summer.
His display was so poor Pellegrini was forced to come out and explain the performance, defending the midfielder on the club’s official website.
So it will be interesting to see if the Chilean takes any notice of yet another eye-catching display from Holland for the Under 23s.

Holland begging for first team chance after brace
Holland’s brace on Monday night meant the pacy youngster notched his sixth and seventh goals of the season so far.
He was given his big chance in the Carabao Cup against Oxford. But that backfired spectacularly as the Hammers turned in a pathetic performance, losing 4-0.
Fornals may need more time to adapt to life in England. And in the meantime Pellegrini could do a lot worse than give Holland his big chances in the Premier League.

Hammers need youngster’s pace
West Ham have looked very one-paced since Michail Antonio’s injury.
And Holland has that in abundance.
His brace will surely be enough to earn a place in the squad to face Sheffield United. But it remains to be seen whether the manager sees Holland as part of his immediate first team plans.
