West Ham have lost U23 Liam Manning, who is moving to the United States of America. New York City FC have confirmed on their official website that Manning will be joining the Major League Soccer side.
Manning will take up the role of Director of Coaching for NYCFC’s academy. His move to New York is dependent on obtaining a working Visa.

Manning has been at West Ham for four years, having previously held a role in the Ipswich Town academy. He recently took over as the U23 manager when Terry Westley stepped aside.
The 33-year-old has one more game with the U23 team. This is against Everton and the Hammers could get relegated from the Premier League 2.
But considering Manning has overseen the development of the likes of Declan Rice and Grady Diangana, his time at West Ham could be considered a success.

Manning has revealed that he is looking forward to his new adventure when he moves to the US next season.
He told NYCFC’s official website: “I’m delighted to join New York City FC which is a Club that has made huge strides since it began just a few short years ago. It has become one of the premier teams and Academies in the United States.
“It’s a Club that has big plans for its Academy and I’m looking forward to building upon the great work that has already been done. I’m ready to begin and start developing the youngsters to help them reach their goal of one day playing for the NYCFC first team.”
