Millwall manager Neil Harris has been a long-term fan of West Ham loanee Jordan Hugill, London News Online reports. Speaking ahead of Millwall’s clash with Queens Park Rangers, Harris praised Hugill and Nahki Wells.
QPR signed Hugill and Wells on loan from West Ham and Burnley respectively in the summer. This Saturday, QPR will travel to The Den to take on Millwall in the Championship. And Hugill will be eager to endear himself to West Ham fans with a goal against the Lions.
Last season, Hugill scored for Middlesbrough against Millwall. The 27-year-old has caught the eye of Harris – who believes he is a good player. Harris is well aware of the attacking threat posed by Hugill and Wells.
Neil Harris on Jordan Hugill

Harris told London News Online: “QPR have got a very in-form front four. Hugill and Nakhi Wells are two players I’ve admired for a period of time and they have been outstanding at this level. Our concentration levels have got to be very good.
“They have won three in a row. Mark [Warburton] started the season with a back four and has gone to a five. It is going to be an interesting battle. They have been financially backed to recruit the front pairing and they are proven players at this level.”
Hugill might struggle to carve out a career at West Ham in the future. But he is on fire for QPR this season. With six goals in seven games, he has been leading the line for the West London outfit.
He is doing all he can to prove to Manuel Pellegrini that he might be worth a second chance. But he needs to keep firing in the goals – continuing this weekend at Millwall.
