Michail Antonio has insisted that he doesn’t want to leave West Ham United to join Newcastle United…right now.
The 32-year-old has enjoyed a fabulous career with the Hammers over the past seven years.

Antonio moved to Upton Park from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2015 for around £7 million (Daily Mail).
He has since gone on to bag 61 goals and 38 assists in 230 games in all competitions for West Ham (Transfermarkt).
Antonio arrived at West Ham as a winger and went on to play as a right-back for a period of time under Slaven Bilic. However, when David Moyes returned to the London Stadium as manger for the second time in December 2019, Micky was converted into a striker.
Since then, the 32-year-old has bagged 29 Premier League goals – a decent return in two-and-a-half seasons.
He’s still under contract with the Hammers until the summer of 2024 with an option for a further 12 months. Will he still be with West Ham up until then though?
Michail Antonio delivers verdict on West Ham future
The ex-Nottingham Forest ace was speaking on The Footballer’s Football Podcast, and responded when asked if he would ever consider leaving the Hammers for Newcastle:
“Not right now. I’m happy at West Ham, I’m enjoying my time here. I’m playing week-in, week-out, scoring goals, playing in Europe. New experiences for me, so I wouldn’t be up for it right now, no.”
In all fairness, not one single club has actually made an approach for the 32-year-old, so it’s a moot point really.
We can see Michail Antonio staying at West Ham until the end of his contract and perhaps he will leave then, after a decade in East London.
The striker earns around £100k-a-week at the London Stadium (the Sun).
He still has an important role to play for David Moyes’s side, but since Gianluca Scamacca arrived, it is clear to see that he won’t be used as regularly in the starting XI as he once was.
