West Ham United star Michail Antonio has given David Moyes a major boost ahead of tonight’s clash with Leicester City.

Antonio has been out injured for much of the season.

His comeback from three months out in December led to an improvement in the team’s performances.

But he was promptly injured again in the reverse to Wednesday’s fixture – the home game against Leicester City on December 28th.

Antonio crucial to West Ham

West Ham have had to make do without him since. And it has showed.

With Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson out and Manuel Lanzini a shadow of his former self, the Hammers are desperately lacking in attack.

Sebastien Haller continues to be hopelessly isolated.

But West Ham and Moyes appear to have been given a major boost ahead of the crunch clash with the Foxes after Antonio took to social media to declare himself fit for the game.

Step forward Hammers hero with timely boost

I’m feeling good and ready to fly #COYI,” Antonio posted alongside an edited photo of himself in a superhero cape.

West Ham need him to be the hero.

Someone must step up and start dragging the Hammers away from the dogfight.

Moyes’s side are only out of the bottom three on goal difference.

Moyes faces daunting run

And they face a daunting run of fixtures which could do some damage on that front too with Leicester, Manchester City and two games against Liverpool to play in the next five.

Win against Leicester and West Ham could move up to 15th.

That would be the perfect scenario ahead of three consecutive home games against West Brom in the FA Cup followed by a six-pointer against Brighton and their game in hand against champions-elect Liverpool.
