David Moyes has admitted that he might have to move Declan Rice back into defence for West Ham for the rest of the season.
Centre-back trio Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Issa Diop could all be out for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.

Hammers boss Moyes does have some options.
Youngsters Aji Alese or Jamal Baptiste could get the call-up or Moyes could use Ben Johnson alongside Craig Dawson.
The West Ham boss could play a three at the back with Aaron Cresswell and Vladimir Coufal playing either side of Dawson and flanked by Arthur Masuaku and Ryan Fredericks.
There is another option of course, and it’s one that the Hammers fans probably don’t want to see…
David Moyes makes Declan Rice admission
The Scot was speaking to reporters yesterday afternoon about West Ham’s current centre-back issues.
And Moyes responded when asked about whether he’s considering moving Dec back into defence whilst Ogbonna, Zouma and Diop are out of action, as quoted via the Mirror:
“Maybe we’ll have to because maybe we’ve got other midfield players who can do that but we don’t have defenders who can play. We have a situation where we have to say that because we have no defenders maybe he’s one who’s done it before. We’ve got midfielders who’ve done it before. That is one of our big dilemmas.”
I think 90% of West Ham fans will not want to see Dec moved back into defence.
We will quite simply lose too much in the middle of the park without him there.
With huge Premier League games against Chelsea and Arsenal both either side of the two biggest games in our recent history in the Europa League, Moyes will be desperately searching for the right answer to his central defensive crisis.
If David Moyes moves Declan Rice back into defence though, he may well end up regretting it.
