Burnley boss Sean Dyche has been linked as a potential replacement for Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United.
The Chilean is under intense pressure after a winless run stretching back more than two months.
Defeat to Tottenham last time out has seen speculation over Pellegrini’s future intensify.
Rafa Benitez and Eddie Howe have both been linked as has Burnley boss Sean Dyche (The Guardian).
Dyche wants West Ham job – report and insider claim
The Guardian claims Dyche has approached West Ham to make clear he would be interested in the job should Pellegrini be axed.
Indeed reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee has also claimed the story is true.
Should West Ham make a change and consider Dyche, it would likely get the backing of captain Mark Noble.
That’s if his recent comments about Dyche are anything to go by.
Noble comments suggest he would welcome Burnley boss
Back in January, Noble was effusive in his praise of Burnley and Dyche when West Ham lost 3-0 at Turf Moor.
Ahead of this year’s trip before the international break – which ended in another 3-0 defeat – Noble was once again full of compliments for Dyche and his team in his Evening Standard column.
“Managers live and die by their decisions and Manuel Pellegrini does what he believes is best for the team. That has worked well up until these past few games.
“Away at Burnley will be completely different. They are brilliant at what they do. They work really hard and play the way the manager wants. It’s as simple as that.”
Noble under Dyche could become a reality
After the opening day defeat to Manchester City this season, Noble even cited Burnley as an example for West Ham to follow if they want to be competitive (Evening Standard).
Noble clearly rates Dyche and the job he is doing at Burnley.
And he may just find out what it is like to play under him in the near future if West Ham’s trip to Chelsea goes according to form this weekend.
