When Manuel Pellegrini thanked West Ham United for his birthday wishes it sparked some hilarious reactions from fans on Twitter.
Some of West Ham’s performances this season have made their supporters age.
It was ironic then that as the Hammers turned in their best display of the campaign so far, their Chilean boss quite literally turned into a pensioner.

Pellegrini was brought in by West Ham thanks to his vast experience.
And it showed as he made a host of crucial changes to personnel, tactics and system which resulted in a 3-1 win away at Everton on the day he turned 65.
It was West Ham’s first Premier League points under the former Man City manager.
Pellegrini was nicknamed ‘charming man’ by City fans.
The affable Hammers boss took to Twitter after the Everton victory to thank the club for a West Ham cake fans for their support.

“Thanks to all the fans for your greetings on my birthday and the great support on yesterday’s match,” Pellegrini said.
“We are convinced that this is the way to obtain good results.”
