West Ham ace Mark Noble has suggested that the Premier League season should be finished, even if that means playing on until October time, and some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to his comments.

The Premier League was postponed in early March because of the ongoing global health crisis.
West Ham were struggling near the bottom of the table at the time in 16th spot. Meanwhile, Liverpool were running away with the league title. Jurgen Klopp masterminded an incredible campaign for his side. And the Reds are sitting 25 points clear of second placed Manchester City in the table.
The global health crisis has halted worldwide football in its tracks, however. And Liverpool fans are fearing the unthinkable.
There have been suggestions that this season could be declared null and void. A move that would see the Reds miss out on the league title – something they haven’t won since 1990.
Season must be finished in the interest of integrity
That obviously would not be a fair outcome, however. Surely the Premier League should be played out to its completion, regardless of when that actually ends up being.
And Mark Noble obviously agrees.
The West Ham skipper told Jamie and Harry Redknapp’s Home Fixtures podcast that it would be morally unfair if Liverpool were to miss out on the league title:
“Morally I don’t think it’s right (to say the season should be null and void). I think we’ve obviously all got to take into consideration the world we’re living in at the minute. But I think we should play behind closed doors when it is safe. But I just think it would be an absolute disaster on Liverpool if that (null and void) happens. Because they thoroughly deserve to win the league this year and I just don’t think morally that can happen Jamie to be honest. I think even if we went into October time. I think we should just get it finished this season and worry about next season after that.”
Hammers ace will gain plenty of fans on Merseyside
Noble is spot on. West Ham fans and David Moyes might not like it. But it would be the fairest outcome.
Let’s hope that, as a nation, we can get this awful disease under some kind of control. And hopefully Premier League action will resume sooner rather than later.
The German Bundesliga is due to restart this week. So that gives us hope.
And Liverpool fans will be praying that the Premier League’s powers that be agree with West Ham skipper Mark Noble’s viewpoint.
Some Reds fans have taken to Twitter, praising the 33-year-old Hammers ace for his comments…
Mark Noble on Liverpool. Massively contradicting Brady and restarting “for Liverpool.”
Have to say, this surprised me…but fair play. pic.twitter.com/kSoePkYNto

Great to read from a top pro. A few players have said the same thing….. finish this season as it has already started and worry about next season when we need to…. simples!

Imagine the abuse he is going to get from West Ham fans 😂😂
