Kurt Zouma reportedly set to start against Southampton as David Moyes plans big change

Kurt Zouma is all set to start for West Ham against Southampton tomorrow afternoon according to a report form Football London.

The Frenchman joined the Hammers from Chelsea towards the end of the summer transfer window for just under £30 million (BBC).

And the general consensus is that West Ham have secured a real coup by signing the 26-year-old for that fee.

David Moyes will be delighted to have him at the London Stadium. And Zouma should make a huge difference to the way in which the Hammers defend.

Football London claims that that could very well be the case.

And if Zouma does start, Moyes will be going against a habit of a lifetime.

The Scot never throws new signings straight into his team. The general rule of thumb is that new arrivals must prove themselves before being considered as a regular starter.

Such has been the state of our current defending, however, Zouma quite simply must come in.

Craig Dawson has been really poor of late and the 26-year-old Frenchman should slot in seamlessly alongside Angelo Ogbonna.
