The Hammers need just a point against Southampton on Sunday to guarantee a sixth place finish in the Premier League table.

We could even lose the game and still finish sixth as long as Tottenham don’t beat Leicester and Everton don’t beat Manchester City by a huge margain.

Meanwhile, Anderlecht have one game left this season in the Champions Play-offs.

They face Antwerp and anything other than a defeat would secure them Europa League football next season.

Josh Cullen desperate to face West Ham next term

The 25-year-old midfielder left the London Stadium from Anderlecht last summer.

David Moyes let Cullen go for just £900,000 (Soccerbase).

The former Hammer told HLN that he is desperate to prove to West Ham that they made a mistake:

“Get the results in the Champions Play-offs, third place and a ticket to the Europa League. Who knows, we might meet West Ham there; it would be nice for them to see that I have really proved myself at Anderlecht.”

The 25-year-old has been a real hit with Anderlecht.

He has shown real leadership qualities and has captained the side on numerous occasions.

The Republic of Ireland international has also been praised by Sport Foot Magazine who claim that his exceptional displays for Anderlecht have seen his value triple in just seven months.

Let’s hope that selling Cullen doesn’t come back to haunt West Ham next season.
