New West Ham United star Jeremy Ngakia has made a surprising claim about teammate Robert Snodgrass.

Ngakia has been a breath of fresh air for West Ham since making his debut against Liverpool.

The 19-year-old homegrown Hammer has impressed everyone with his mature displays at right-back.

And how West Ham have needed him. With ageing veteran Pablo Zabaleta on his way out this summer and both Ryan Fredericks and Ben Johnson injured for long spells, Ngakia has stepped up to the plate.

Ngakia is a West Ham revelation

West Ham fans and David Moyes will be honest enough to admit they have been surprised just how good the young defender has been.

But now he will probably surprise a few Hammers supporters with a comment he has made about teammate Robert Snodgrass.

Speaking in a brilliant conversation with Zabaleta on West Ham’s YouTube channel, Ngakia said Snodgrass is the most technically gifted player he has seen.

“I’m a big fan of Snoddy,” Zabaleta said to Ngakia on West Ham’s YouTube channel.

Young Hammer makes surprising claim about Snodgrass

“His left foot… he puts really good balls in.”

To which Ngakia responded: “I think he is the most technical player I’ve played with you know.

“Ever, in my life.”

That is some claim from the young star given the plethora of skilful talents he has come through the West Ham academy alongside.

Not to mention other Hammers first team stars such as Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals, Andriy Yarmolenko and Jack Wilshere.

Big claim but Snoddy still has a part to play

Snodgrass is a real fans’s favourite at West Ham. But he is perhaps admired more for his effort and workrate than his dazzling skills.

The Scottish midfielder has lost his place in the starting XI of late.

But he would probably be starting if Ngakia had anything to do with it. Snodgrass undoubtedly still has a big part to play this season, though.

Hopefully in keeping West Ham in the Premier League.
