West Ham United have just done their best business of the summer.

That’s according to departing West Ham hero and youth coach Jack Collison.

The influential Hammers figure recently left the club to take up a job role overseas.

But he is still keeping a keen eye on goings on at West Ham.

Barcelona and co chasing Hammers starlet

And Collison believes the club has just pulled off the best deal of the summer by getting sought after young striker Amadou Diallo tied down to a professional contract.

West Ham have one of the most promising teenagers in English football on their books in Diallo.

The West Ham Under 18s starlet has been earning rave reviews since joining the youth setup.

At just 16, Diallo has already been tipped for the top with club and country.

Insider makes exciting claim over coveted Diallo

He was also hailed by former U18s coach Collison as a star in the making (whufc.com).

But speculation has been rife for some time that Diallo could be tempted elsewhere.

Rising Ballers reported that the West Ham youngster’s representatives had held talks with Bordeaux, Bayern Munich and the mighty Barcelona.

However according to reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, Diallo is staying in East London.

“Great news that we have beaten off strong interest from top clubs in Spain, Germany and France to get extremely talented youngster Amadou Diallo (16) to sign a new deal,” ExWHUemployee said on Twitter.

“This is a really positive move for the future and should be announced soon.”

‘This boy is special’

And that prompted Collison to make the bold claim it will turn out to be the best business the Hammers do this summer.

“This could be the best bit of business this summer from West Ham United,” Collison said.

“This boy is special.”

Diallo has been ranked by  as one of the 50 most exciting English teenagers.

FourFourTwo have recently teamed up with Youth Hawk to run a feature on the top 50 teenagers playing in England at the moment.

West Ham’s own official site gives Diallo a big billing.

“Schoolboy striker Amadou Diallo is a West Ham United player of immense promise,” whufc.com states in a lengthy and glowing write-up.

More future excitement in store for West Ham fans it seems.
