West Bromwich Albion striker Charlie Austin wants Grady Diangana to stay at The Hawthorns until the end of the season.
Austin told The Express & Star how “important” Diangana was for West Brom’s promotion hopes. However, the Baggies fear that West Ham will recall Diangana in the January transfer window.
West Ham are able to bring Diangana back despite him initially agreeing to stay at West Brom for the season. His form has caught the eye and he is leading West Brom’s title bid and promotion charge.
With West Ham struggling at the same time, there has been some talk about Diangana getting recalled. Austin would love to keep the 21-year-old beyond January to bolster the promotion hopes.

Austin said (via The Express & Star): “It is important we keep him for the rest of the season. We want to keep him beyond January, of course we do. “He is a big part of our team, but it was always going to happen.
“When you get a player like that and the recall clause is there, it just speaks volumes of the performances he has been putting in. For me, hopefully he stays. I want him to stay. I feel we’ve got a good core group, a good team ethic.”
