West Ham insider ExWHUemployee suggested that Luka Jovic could be an option for the Hammers in January, albeit an unlikely one.

The 21-year-old joined Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer for an initial €65 million (£55 million) according to The Guardian, but he has struggled to establish himself at the Bernabeu.
Jovic has scored just one goal in 11 appearances for Madrid. And this has led to rumours that he could already be moved on by the La Liga giants.
And West Ham allegedly wanted to sign the Serbian earlier this year.
The Mirror’s live transfer blog (25/4, 5.48am) claimed that the Hammers were eying a move for the then Eintracht Frankfurt hitman.
They ended up signing Sebastien Haller instead.
But could the pair be reunited?
ExWHUemployee suggested that West Ham would move for Jovic if it was at all possible, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Tuesday, December 3rd), although he did highlight how it would be incredibly difficult to sign him, even on loan:
“Ideally he (Jovic) would be a great signing, if we could we would go for him. He was one of the top forwards in the world last year, that’s why he got his move to Real Madrid, but it hasn’t quite worked out for him. You can imagine that there will be numerous clubs queueing up to sign him and because of that I think we would struggle.”
So it seems as though signing Jovic is an unrealistic prospect for the Hammers. Having said that, there would be no harm in trying.
Either way, West Ham desperately need a new striker. And it’s about time that the owners showed real ambition by backing Pellegrini to the the hilt in January.
Jovic would be an an incredible addition, albeit a highly unlikely one.
