Insider makes claim over West Ham board’s Manuel Pellegrini sacking criteria ahead of Chelsea

Manuel Pellegrini WILL take charge of West Ham United for this weekend’s trip to bitter rivals Chelsea.

West Ham have not won for eight games, stretching back more than two months.

They are damning statistics that are now etched into the mind of every West Ham fan, but there is no getting away from them.

Pellegrini on the brink?

Hammers boss Pellegrini is a man fighting for his job.

Speculation has been rife that Pellegrini will be axed following the dismal defeat to Tottenham last time out.

For the third game in a row West Ham were 3-0 down before the hour mark.

And a host of managers have been linked with replacing the Chilean in the Hammers hotseat.

Rafa Benitez, Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche, Chris Hughton, Chris Wilder and even David Moyes have all been linked (The Guardian).

Fans are divided over the situation at the club. Some feel Pellegrini has to go while others feel the board are more culpable.

The anger and frustration of West Ham fans has turned to apathy in recent weeks.

And that is when owners usually start to panic.

But reliable Hammers insider ExWHUemployee has claimed Pellegrini WILL still be in charge for the huge game at Chelsea.

And ExWHUemployee has revealed what he believes to be co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold’s criteria when it comes to sacking Pellegrini.

“I don’t think a decision has been made yet but I’m not sure a Chelsea battering will change that, a Wolves/Arsenal one might,” ExWHUemployee said on Twitter.

“I think they are worried yes but it will cost them a lot to get rid of him and his staff and also to get a replacement in.

‘Pellegrini will be in charge for Chelsea’

“There is also the dilemma of whether the main problem will be fixed when Fab back. Not a good situation really.

“Yes mate they (the board) do pay attention to website poles, twitter feedback etc. They will know the general feeling (amongst fans) for sure.

“I think Pellegrini will be in charge for Chelsea… I can only go on what sources say and the narrative is Pellegrini will stay for now. But others are indicating they could be interested via agents etc.”
