West Ham boss David Moyes could yet make a late swoop for Queens Park Rangers left-back Ryan Manning, according to a report from Claret and Hugh.

The Hammers need to bolster their ranks at left-back before next month’s transfer deadline.

Arthur Masuaku’s recent resurgence has been encouraging. But that doesn’t mean Moyes should miss out on the chance to strengthen in the left wing-back department.

The 26-year-old is hardly the most consistent of players after all, and should he suffer a serious injury, we would be in real trouble.

Claret and Hugh claims that a late swoop for Queens Park Rangers left-back Ryan Manning cannot be ruled out.

The Telegraph reported back in July that West Ham boss David Moyes wants to bring the 24-year-old to the London Stadium.

Stats

Manning racked up four goals and seven assists in 41 Championship games for QPR last season (Who Scored). So he is clearly a very attacking left-back.

In those outings, the Irishman averaged two tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.7 clearances per game (Who Scored).

And Football Insider claims that Manning could be available for just £5 million – an absolute steal considering his talent.

The QPR ace would be a great addition for us. Moyes just needs to get this one over the line. And let’s just hope that the Scot receives the financial backing needed from David Sullivan and David Gold.
