West Ham lost in their London derby clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
So the last thing any fan wants to see is a video showing someone running around and not winning the ball.
But that is exactly what West Ham’s social media account has done.
On Twitter, West Ham’s official page posted a 17 second clip which many fans have been labelling “embarrassing”.
We didn't get the result, but we loved this from Snoddy in the 76th minute 👏 #Workrate pic.twitter.com/Gmm7Fy7fHL

Tottenham have the ball on the halfway line on 76 minutes, with the score at 1-0.
And a frustrated Robert Snodgrass presses the Spurs players, forcing them to go all the way back to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The Scotland international does show desire to win the ball back but eventually Lloris hits it clear to the left-back.
The Hammers tweeted the video with the caption: “We didn’t get the result, but we loved this from Snoddy in the 76th minute.”
And here is what West Ham fans had to say about this ill-timed video of Snodgrass fruitlessly chasing the ball.
A lovely 20 second in which West Ham don’t touch the ball. Top stuff guys 👏

We didn’t get the result but one of our players went full Forrest Gump so that’s good….

Running like a headless chicken for 20 seconds, out of his position, without actual chance of touching the ball. Wow

I think running a bit is probably the very least we can expect surely

It gets a cheer but it means you have to cover where he's running round like a headless chicken. I understand his frustration, we all do, but ultimately it's misplaced & pointless.
