West Ham striker Lucas Perez is an injury doubt for this weekend’s trip to Fulham.

The Hammers will be hoping to make it four wins on the bounce in Saturday’s late kick-off.

But they could be without Perez, who had to be withdrawn at half-time against Crystal Palace with a foot injury.

It was a frustrating blow for the Spaniard, who had earned a start after netting a brace from the bench against Cardiff City.

The 30-year-old shared a picture of his blood-stained boot and a gruesome stud mark on his foot.

But with Perez possibly out and Marko Arnautovic definitely sidelined, could this open a door to two new starlets?

Xande Silva and Nathan Holland were both omitted from the under-23 side to face Southampton in an International Cup fixture.

Could this be a hint that one of them is set to receive a first-team call-up?

Holland is considered to be one of West Ham’s best young players and he might have got his first-team call-up already if not for injury.

The 20-year-old was arguably ahead of Grady Diangana in the pecking order but injury prevented him from playing against Macclesfield Town earlier this season.

Holland joined West Ham from Everton and he has impressed at youth level, as well as featuring in training for the first-team.

The England youth international plays as a winger and he has one first-team appearance to his name – against Bolton Wanderers in the cup.

Silva joined West Ham from Vitoria Guimaraes in the summer and has immediately impressed.

With seven goals in six games for the under-23 side, including a hat-trick on debut against Tottenham, the Portugal youth international has caught the eye.

Silva is another one who missed his first-team chance against Macclesfield with an injury.

But now the 21-year-old is back fit, he will be eyeing a spot in the first-team squad, filling in as a striker in the absence of Arnautovic and Perez.
