West Ham have announced a 23-man squad to travel to China for the Asia Trophy this weekend. And fans have been pointed out that only one striker is in the squad.
When West Ham’s official Twitter account released a graphic breaking the squad down into their respective positions, it showed four strikers in West Ham’s Asia Trophy squad.
But Javier Hernandez is the only recognised centre-forward in the squad. The three others are wingers: Felipe Anderson, Michail Antonio and Andriy Yarmolenko.
Jordan Hugill has not been included in the squad despite being West Ham’s second choice striker now. After selling Marko Arnautovic and failing to land Maxi Gomez, West Ham only have two senior strikers on their books.

West Ham fans react to lack of strikers
Nice way to pretend there’s some forwards at the club, just push the midfield up, no one will notice 😂😂

You know it’s bad when we have to include 3 wingers in the ‘forward’ section 😂
