West Ham striker Xande Silva put in another impressive performance for the under-23 side, prompting some calls for a first-team promotion.

With the Hammers struggling in the Premier League, Silva could be in contention for a senior outing.

The Portugal youth international joined West Ham this summer from Vitoria de Guimaraes and made an instant impression.

Silva scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur on debut, immediately endearing himself to fans.

The 21-year-old has now scored five goals in five appearances in all competitions, although he is yet to feature in a first-team match day squad.

But it was not a goal which caught the attention of Hammers fans last night. Silva produced a sublime assist.

In a 2-1 loss against Brighton, Silva produced a moment of magic to put the young Irons ahead.

Receiving the ball just inside the box, the young attacker showed a fantastic turn of pace to beat two defenders. He got to the by-line and pulled the ball back for Grady Diangana to score the opener.

Here are how West Ham fans reacted to that goal.
