West Ham fans once again lambasted Arthur Masuaku after his poor performance against Manchester City.

In a home game against the champions, West Ham were beaten 4-0.

And Masuaku was axed at half-time due after Manuel Pellegrini lost faith in the left-back.

Manchester City had plenty of joy attacking down the right wing, exploiting the 25-year-old’s defensive frailties.

Masuaku or Cresswell?

Masuaku has often been criticised for his performances at left-back but West Ham fans are also apprehensive about his replacement Aaron Cresswell.

Both players have had worrying moments on the pitch and many West Ham fans believe left-back is a priority in the January transfer window.

Cresswell replaced Masuaku at half-time yesterday and looked more assured in defence.

But the game was already lost by that stage. Manchester City are ruthless in attack and you cannot afford any defensive lapses.

Not for the first time this season, West Ham fans took to social media to criticise Masuaku’s defensive performance.

Below are some tweets from West Ham fans about Masuaku.
