Four West Ham players who should be ashamed after Arsenal embarrassment

West Ham were soundly beaten by Arsenal last night.

The Hammers actually led at half-time, but their second-half display was beyond pathetic.

They were limp and laboured in every department of the pitch, but four players stood out as being particularly bad.

Here are the four West Ham players we think should be embarrassed by their performances last night…

Ryan Fredericks

The 26-year-old right-back was absolutely shocking last night. The former Fulham man possesses blistering pace, but he frustratingly never seems to use it.

Fredericks is often found wanting positionally, and he was beaten far too easily last night.

He was at fault for Arsenal’s equaliser, and he must be dropped for the Southampton game.

Felipe Anderson

The Brazilian has been woeful this season. He looks like a shadow of his former self, and is incredibly low on confidence.

Anderson was totally ineffectual against the Gunners, and his tepid display meant that West Ham could not take advantage of the weak Arsenal back-line.

Robert Snodgrass

The Scot works hard and he is popular amongst the London Stadium faithful. But let’s be honest – he really is not good enough for the Premier League.

He was terrible last night from the first whistle until he came off. The 32-year-old lacks any kind of pace and constantly slows the Hammers down. Snodgrass surely must be moved on in the summer.

Arthur Masuaku

The 26-year-old came on as a second-half substitute, and his performance was beyond a joke.

It is no surprise that he has been been left out of the first-team squad so regularly recently.

Masuaku looked like he just could not be bothered last night, and he is another one who needs to be moved on as soon as possible.
