West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has included two teenage goalkeepers in first-team training. Joseph Anang and Krisztian Hegyi were both spotted in first-team training after Lukasz Fabianski suffered an injury against Bournemouth.
Fabianski will be out for the next two to three months, opening the door for the back-up goalkeepers. Roberto took his place between the sticks last Saturday while David Martin is also keen to make his Hammers debut.
But there could be a surprise opportunity for Anang or Hegyi – both of whom are hoping to impress in training. Anang, 19, plays regularly for the West Ham U23 team and his only senior experience has come in the EFL Trophy.
Meanwhile, Hegyi joined the Irons recently from Haladas. The 16-year-old is a highly-rated young Hungarian goalkeeper but he might be too young to make the step up yet. Here are the pictures of West Ham’s reserve goalkeepers in action during training.
