Reporter Fabrizio Romano has shared bad news for West Ham ahead of the clash with a harmonious Man United this weekend.

A trip to face Erik ten Hag’s fast-improving Manchester United side awaits in the Premier League on Sunday as West Ham sit within striking distance of the Red Devils and the European spots following the victory over Bournemouth on Monday night.

David Moyes heads back to his old club Man United, who he has a particularly dismal record against, claiming he is likely to be without three key players at Old Trafford.

Man United may be improving but the fact remains they are not the fearsome force they once were.

Other clubs have proved Man United can be beaten and are there to be got at in defence, particularly now Raphael Varane has been ruled out – possibly until after the World Cup.

Ten Hag and his Man United stars will not have been unduly worried by what they saw from West Ham if tuning in to watch the dull 2-0 win over the Cherries on Monday night.

Conversely West Ham would also have hoped Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest antics might unsettle Man United ahead of their match.

But Fabrizio Romano has shared bad news for West Ham ahead of the clash with a harmonious Man United on Sunday.

Because not only is Ronaldo back in training and available for selection, Romano claims talks between the manager and player have gone well and the whole club are now united ahead of the Hammers.

“We know how complicated things got for Cristiano Ronaldo last week,” Romano told Caught Offside.

“He left Old Trafford early in the Tottenham game, so Erik ten Hag decided he had to be dropped. He decided together with the board, and Ronaldo was left out of Ten Hag’s squad for the Chelsea game.

“Cristiano understood it was not the best way to act. It’s important to mention he’s now back in contention for the first-team, we will see him get an opportunity again.

“He’s 100% available. But what happened with his talks with Ten Hag? I’m told they have been in constant, direct contact, and it was positive. Ronaldo was really sorry, but also Ten Hag understood the player wanted to be involved more. They spoke about it, they had multiple conversations, and they decided to shake hands and now Ronaldo is back in the United first-team…

“Overall, I’m told that all the people in Manchester United think that Ten Hag handled this incident very well, board included.”

All sounds very ominous for the Hammers doesn’t it…

A fit, focused and determined Ronaldo ready and waiting with a point to prove.

Moyes needs to attack this game because Man United can be got it and attack is the best form of defence when it comes to facing a team which is still trying to knit together.
