Hammers boss David Moyes will be keen to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Blues chief Frank Lampard, meanwhile, might have a hole that needs filling in defensive midfield, with N’Golo Kante being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge to Real Madrid (AS).

Chelsea have been chasing West Ham starlet Declan Rice for quite some time now (Sky Sports).

The Hammers want to keep the talented 21-year-old. But they could be tempted to sell the seven-capped England international if their £80 million valuation is met (Daily Star).

With Chelsea planning to spend so heavily this summer on the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and the already signed Hakim Ziyech, however, they may struggle to match Rice’s asking price.

The Athletic have suggested that in order to get around that particular problem, the west London outfit could send Michy Batshuayai to West Ham to help sweeten the deal.

ExWHUemployee has poured cold water on the rumour, however. The Hammers insider claims Chelsea do want Rice, but he doesn’t think West Ham are keen on Batshuayi:

So if Chelsea want to sign Rice, they may just have to stump up the full asking price.

West Ham fans will be hoping that Frank Lampard prioritises other targets this summer, however.
