ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham boss David Moyes is a fan of Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor.

The Hammers surely will be looking to bolster their central midfield ranks before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

David Moyes’s priority will be to bring in an established centre-back, but with Josh Cullen closing in on a move to Anderlecht, our central midfield options are looking rather weak.

So what moves could we expect from Moyes on deadline day?

And ExWHUemployee has claimed that the West Ham boss is a fan of Celtic ace Callum McGregor:

The 27-year-old is an orthodox central midfielder by trade.

He has made a fine start to the season, with two goals and two assists in nine Scottish Premiership games for Celtic this far (Who Scored).

In those outings, the 21-capped Scotland international has averaged 1.2 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 1.1 clearances and 1.1 dribbles per game. McGregor has recorded an incredible 92.1% pass completion rate from 85.4 passes per game during those outings (Who Scored).

The Celtic ace is a very solid player. And he would be a useful addition for West Ham.

It’s just a shame that we have let a homegrown player leave. Josh Cullen did really well in pre-season, and it looks like he is being moved on because of it.

But bringing in Celtic ace McGregor would undoubtedly help soften the blow.
