ExWHUemployee has suggested that there is a strong chance that Jack Wilshere will leave West Ham this summer.
The 28-year-old has been a total disaster of a signing since moving to the London Stadium on a free transfer in the summer 0f 2018.
Much was expected of Wilshere when he joined the Hammers two years ago. But the perennial crock has failed to deliver.
In some ways it is sad to watch Wilshere play now. He really is an absolute shadow of the player who burst onto the scene with Arsenal more than a decade ago.
David Moyes clearly doesn’t rate the 34-capped England international. And it seems as though his days in east London could be numbered.
ExWHUemployee has claimed that there is a strong chance that Wilshere will be moved on by West Ham this summer, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday September 9th)…
“Big news in terms of a player who I think will be leaving this summer and it’s Jack Wilshere. They want to pay him off. They are trying really hard to get him off the wages before the window closes. So there is a strong chance that Wilshere will not be a West Ham player beyond the end of the window.”
Wilshere has looked slow and lethargic in pre-season. And getting his £100k-a-week wages (Spotrac) off the books would be a very wise move from the Hammers.
It is a shame that we never got to see the 28-year-old in full flow. He is clearly past his best. And if buying him out of his current contract enables us to offer potential transfer targets higher wages, then that can only be a good thing.
