ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham boss David Moyes has been given the clear to start planning his summer recruitment and the club insider also suggested that the Hammers could look to exploit Wigan’s situation.

West Ham have all but secured their Premier League status for another season, barring a miraculous set of results and a monumental goal difference swing.

And it seems as though Moyes will be tasked with taking the Hammers to another level next season.

When the Scot was reappointed as West Ham boss in December 2019, the club’s fans were underwhelmed to say the least.

His remit was to keep the Hammers up, and to be fait to him, that has been what he has done. I’m by no means a fan of Moyes. I think he has ancient ideas and has been left behind by younger, more forward-thinking coaches.

I am happy to be proved wrong, however.

Let’s hope Moyes is the man for the job

It could be argued that the 57-year-old deserves one full season in charge of West Ham.

ExWHUemployee has claimed that the former Manchester United and Everton manager has already been given the all clear by the board to start preparing his transfer wish-list for the summer. The insider also suggested that the Hammers could look to exploit Wigan’s situation:

Wigan are in real limbo at the moment. They face a 12-point deduction after the club was entered into administration earlier in the month. That could see them drop down to League One.

And with West Ham thought to be after the Latics duo Antonee Robinson and Cedric Kipre (Daily Mail), there might just be some bargains to be had for the east London club.

Let’s just hope that Moyes gets it right in the transfer market this summer. Signing a new left-back, right-back and a centre-forward should be the Scot’s three main priorities.

And according to Ex, Moyes has already begun planning who he wants in at the London Stadium this summer.
