The Evening Standard have claimed that Said Benrahma will return to London after tonight’s friendly clash between Algeria and Mexico in order to try and force through a move to West Ham.

Sky Sports reported three days ago that the Hammers had agreed a deal to sign the 25-year-old winger believed to be worth around £30 million in total.

And many West Ham fans were absolutely buzzing upon hearing the news.

But things took a worrying turn yesterday, with the Mirror claiming that the east London outfit’s proposed deal to sign the Algeria international was on the verge of collapsing.

We have heard it all before haven’t we? An ambitious transfer target is seemingly close to making a move to the London Stadium before the deal collapses late on in negotiations.

It would surprise none of us if we do fail to sign Benrahma.

But the Evening Standard claims that the 25-year-old Brentford ace is ready to try and force through a move to West Ham.

Let’s just hope he is successful in doing just that.

The talented winger will return to London after his country take on Mexico in The Hague tonight.

So we will likely know a lot more about the ongoing situation in 24 hours or so.
