Declan Rice has outlined how he wants the West Ham United attackers to play with complete freedom going forward.
The Hammers forward line has been impotent this season, with just three goals scored in seven Premier League games so far.

As a result, David Moyes’s side are currently marooned inside the bottom three. The Scot deserves plenty of blame and the players do as well. Everyone has been at fault so far this term.
One massive problem that Moyes needs to address are his side’s patterns of play, or lack thereof.

The Hammers passing from defence through the middle of the park and on into the attacking third has been clunky, sloppy and laborious. As a result, our attacking players are dropping too deep in order to help link up the play.
It’s something that Declan Rice wants West Ham to improve as a matter of urgency…
Declan Rice wants West Ham attackers to play with freedom
The 23-year-old Hammers skipper was speaking to reporters after our defeat to Everton on Sunday afternoon.
And Rice suggested that the mistakes being made in the middle of the park are hindering the West Ham forward players, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

I want the front players to play as freely as possible and feel like the best players in the world, but if we keep making the same mistakes and not learning, it will come back to haunt us.
Rice is right. Our play though the middle of the park has been so poor.
We think Moyes has to take the responsibility for that though. Why on earth he’s playing Tomas Soucek week in, week out is anyone’s guess.
The Czech Republic international is a useful asset in the air but when the ball is on the ground, he’s a really poor footballer.
I don’t mean to just single out Soucek either, every single player hasn’t been up to scratch so far this season.
Hopefully everyone can raise their levels after the international break. Declan Rice has made it very clear exactly what he wants from the attackers. And now it’s up to the midfielders to help give them the freedom needed to work their magic in the final third.
