Jarrod Bowen injury news has been doing the rounds over the past week and Declan Rice has delivered his verdict on the situation.

Bowen was forced off with an injury against Liverpool last weekend at Anfield and the news that followed was initially good.

News emerged on the official club website on Sunday evening that the injury sustained by Bowen was not a serious one and that he has not suffered any significant damage to his foot.

Claret and Hugh then suggested that the 25-year-old will not return to action until the second-leg against Sevilla next week, however.

Bowen sat out last night’s clash against the Spaniards at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium and we really missed his quality, hard work and endeavour down the right hand flank.

Fingers crossed that we have him back for the game at the London Stadium next week. The fans will be desperate to see the former Hull City ace in David Moyes’s starting lineup. And it seems as though one of the Hammers players is thinking exactly the same thing.

Jarrod Bowen injury news: Rice reacts

Bowen will certainly missed the Aston Villa game in the Premier League on Sunday. Let’s hope that the boys manage to cope without Jarrod and get the three points against the West Midlands outfit.

We desperately need him back for the second-leg of our Europa League last-16 tie against Sevilla, however.

And Declan Rice has reacted to the latest Jarrod Bowen injury news, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“There are positives to take. Obviously, we’re missing big players as well like Jarrod [Bowen]… hopefully he can come back into the team next week and make a massive difference for us, and we’ll be ready to go at our Stadium.”

The West Ham vs Sevilla tie in the Europa League is finely balanced and perfectly poised ahead of the second-leg at the London Stadium next week.

Having lost 1-0 at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, we are still well in this tie. In fact, most of the West Hma fans would have taken that result priory to the match.

We could have been blown away and had nothing to play for at the London Stadium next week after all!

With Jarrod Bowen fit and firing on all cylinders, our chances of progressing through to the quarter-finals of the competition will increase dramatically.

And Dec made it very clear that our chances of beating Sevilla on Thursday night will be hugely dependent on what Jarrod Bowen injury news we are dealt.

The injury he suffered against Liverpool seemed like an innocuous one. We all know that sometimes they are the most frustrating and difficult to diagnose though. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed between now and Thursday as we await the news regarding Bowen!
