Declan Rice comments on numerous West Ham players’ Instagram pictures with Arsenal move imminent

Arsenal bound Declan Rice has taken to Instagram to respond to numerous pictures of his West Ham teammates.

I say West Ham teammates very loosely indeed – it’s only a matter of time before Declan Rice leaves the London Stadium to join up with Arsenal in a British record £105 million deal (The Athletic).

The two clubs finally reached an agreement after weeks of tense negotiations.

Hammers boss David Moyes has a lot of work to do in the summer transfer window, if he is to ensure that we make real progress as a club in the next few years without Dec.

Whilst the vast majority of us have accepted that Rice will leave for quite some time, it will still be somewhat of a shock to see him in an Arsenal shirt.

And the 24-year-old was clearly missing all of his West Ham teammates already, after they were put through their paces in training…

Rice took to Instagram yesterday and fired off some comments at the likes of Aaron Cresswell, Jarrod Bowen and Danny Ings:

Obviously Dec liking those pictures doesn’t really mean anything at all does it.

He’s obviously just very good friends with the West Ham players, and Declan Rice leaving us to join Arsenal will undoubtedly be a tough thing for him to do, in spite of what some people might say.

At the end of the day, he’s given us everything since he made his debut for the club six years ago. There are no hard feeling from my end.

However, I certainly won’t be cheering him on for Arsenal when he leaves, that’s just the way football is isn’t it.
